A film and a column that will never get published

Hi folks,

"The Boy Who Was Dubbed" a short film by Patrick Freyne, starring Kev Connolly from Herm, and Frances Mitchell from the Bad Intentions (amongst others) is to get it's international debut at the Rotterdam Film Festival on the 26th of this month.

Also I was recently asked to write a column for a regional paper. Now I don't know whether it will get published or not, but each time I sit down to write it I end up writing other things that are probably not suitable for publication in a regional newspaper. So the first offshoot of that process can be found in the miscellania section.

Patrick Freyne and his Bad Intentions are Recording

Patrick Freyne and his Bad Intentions have spent an intensive period in each others company recording their debut album.

Jack Cawley is a saint. The man got the equipment together; gave us his house; cooked us a big vegetarian chile; engineered the whole recording session; made us coffee; and was generally a pleasure to work with. And what do we do?

We break his guitars and defecate in his shoes.

That’s the kind of band we are.
